Your first session is a chance for us to slow things down and get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what feels most important to share right now. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story — we’ll go at your pace. Many clients leave the first session feeling heard, grounded, and clearer about next steps.

I primarily work with adults, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relational challenges, life transitions, and the impacts of trauma. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals during perinatal and early motherhood/parenthood stages, as well as those experiencing complex or relational trauma.
If you’re unsure whether we’d be a good fit, I’m happy to explore this with you.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Most clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions, and we adjust frequency over time based on your needs, goals, and capacity. We can also offer extended sessions, please let me know if you’re interested in an extended session and we can discuss it further.

My work is trauma-informed, relational, and integrative. I draw primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, attachment-based approaches, and person-centred therapy. This means therapy focuses not just on coping strategies, but on understanding emotions, patterns, and relationships — including your relationship with yourself.
Sessions are collaborative, gentle, and responsive to your needs.

Not at all. Many people come to therapy because something feels off, overwhelming, or unsustainable — even if they can’t quite name it yet. You don’t need a diagnosis, crisis, or clear goal to start. Therapy can be a space for reflection, growth, and learning to relate to yourself with more compassion.

Yes. Confidentiality is a core part of therapy. Everything you share is kept private, with a few legal and ethical exceptions (such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or abuse of a minor or vulnerable person). These limits will be explained clearly in our first session.

Session fees are $150 a session. Payment is due at the time of the session. Many extended health plans cover counselling with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), but coverage varies — I recommend checking directly with your provider.
I provide receipts for insurance reimbursement.

I aim to offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots when possible. Availability varies. If cost is a barrier, you’re welcome to reach out and ask about current options.

That’s incredibly common — and very welcome here. You don’t need to feel ready, confident, or articulate to begin. Therapy often starts because things feel uncertain. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and respectful for you.
